This illustration tells the tale of two spirits bound together and is set in the beautiful St Mary's Churchyard in Whitby. This piece was technically challenging - charcoal isn't transparent, so drawing the illusion of 3 layers of opacity using one pencil and some paper had me wondering why I do this to myself. It remains one of my favourite images of the series though - I used a photograph I had taken on a snow day in the churchyard as my starting point, and a cemetery angel from my time in London as inspiration for the ghosts of dragon and woman forever together.
Archive quality, full size fine art print of my charcoal pencil drawing, printed on a beautiful smooth paper that mirrors the qualities of that used for the original artwork. This piece was created to accompany the short story by author Sean Walter for Tales in Sombre Tones. Copies of the anthology are also available in my shop.
Please note - to be able to offer this discount, prints are being ordered at the end of the month when the sale ends, and will be shipped mid May. This is the last time I will be getting full size prints done of this image because I am making room in my studio for new work.
The final image shows another illustration framed as an example..
Image area size 12" wide by 18" high, also available framed in a smart black frame made using recycled materials and with acrylic safety glazing. Frame size 16" x 22".
